Our Mission
KDBRASS, though young in the field of NGO scenario, has been established with the mission to develop integrated socio-economic research and a worthwhile living environment through the dissemination of information on women and child rights. It first started it’s activities in Khanyan,Hooghly.
The Society has an excellent multi-disciplinary team of professionals from the field of health, education, and environment management, and social welfare who are well conversant with the latest advances. The society has a working relationship with a government department, NGO, and other reputed Institutions. The USP of KDBRASS lies in the attitude of service rendered by it’s start.
Our Vision
To be considered the NGO that leads the best programs in Hooghly towards achieving respectful, generous, egalitarian, peaceful, and sustainable communities, where the poor and most vulnerable have equal rights and personal integrity, and equal access to social, cultural, and economic resources.
Our Aims
- Thrust Area: Health, Education, Socio–economic and psychological rehabilitation.
- Various Types of Camp & Seminar for learning and recreation.
- Special Child Care Institutions for Children With Specal Needs (CWSN).
- To Organize marketing systems and sell the products made by CWSN.
- To Promote Health checkup & Hospitals for the needy section of the society.
- Awareness Program to create Socio-Economic awareness.
- Awareness Program on Eye & Body and collection of eyes from dead bodies to implant in living bodies .
- Games & Sports Competition to promote sportal activities in young minds.
- Cultural therapy in Burdwan central jail- for rehabilitation of inmates.
- Child Care Homes for the needy.
- Environmental Awareness Programme
- Ambulance Service for major illness in needy places
- promoting good deeds and generating awareness-Madhyamik Kriti Songbordhona, Dengu Sochetonata , Tree plantation, Bhaiphota at Hooghly jail.
Khanyan Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Seba Samity or KDBRASS is a non-profitable, non-political voluntary organization situated in Hooghly in the year 2003. This year, Khanyan Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Seba Samity has crossed the very blissful and successful completion of 17 years since its registration and dedicated to the development of the people of the Khanyan of Hooghly & other Districts of West Bengal.
KDBRASS is registered under the West Bengal Society Registration Act XXIV of 1961. We can proudly say that after facing several teething troubles, Khanyan Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Seba Samity (KDBRASS) has completed its journey in keeping its promises and commitment to the cause of sustainable development.
Society is particularly concerned around Women Empowerment, Non-formal Education, Basic Health, Environment Protection, special Child care Home(MR), various types of vocational Training, Youth Development, Promotion of Sports, Youth, & Cultural, and Awareness on Various type of social & Current issues among Rural Women & Special Children, ambulance service, awareness on Eye, Limbs & Blood donation among Poor villagers and Urban deprived Population, etc.
Through some new initiatives along with ongoing programs, the society has succeeded in converging different socio-economic activities which have some beneficial effects on the target groups. Different socio-economic schemes coupled with social activities have been undertaken. In this connection, it is to be noted that the organization has tried its best to launch awareness generation camps through seminars and workshops along with rallies, sit & draw competitions taking assistance from local people from time to time. We carry forward the mission for the upliftment of the deprived & marginalized section of society. Besides helping kids and needy people, another motto of our organization is to help Prisoners to come back to the mainstream of society.
Khanyan Dr.B.R.Ambedkar Seba Samity or KDBRASS is Registered with the Registrar of Societies and the type of NGO is Trust (Non-Government) bearing the Society under Society Registration Act.1961 and the Registration Number is S/1L/30904. Our society is registered under Income Tax Registration Under Section 12A bearing the Registration number CIT/KOL.-XX/12AA&80G/2014-15/1307 dated 30/06/2014. Also registered under Income Tax Registration Under Section 80G bearing the Registration No. CIT/KOL.-XX/12AA&80G/2014-15/1304 dated 30/06/2014. We are also registered under FCRA and our FCRA number is 146990133 dated 21/09/2018. The city and state of registration are Hooghly and West Bengal. The date of registration is 01/08/2015. Our Unique Id of VO/NGO is WB/2018/0191645.
As a leading charity working for the disadvantaged elderly of India, KDBRASS has been active for over 17 years. The society has received several awards for it’s commendable contribution to society.
